Petitioners See Error in Council Letter

Summary:
Colville anti-terminationists assert that the information presented about Klamath termination is misleading. Omak Chronicle, 8/17/66.
Description:

After a letter from the Colville business council was released in the Omak Chronicle about the effects of Klamath termination, T.B. Charley, executive commissioner of the Petitioners Party in the Colville Confederated Tribes, sent a follow-up letter to the Chronicle responding to the misleading claims made in the original letter regarding positive effects of Klamath termination on members of the Klamath tribe. The interviews conducted only took a small sample of terminated Klamaths, ignoring groups who did not take pay outs and groups who had their payouts placed into trust funds.
