Lucy Friedlander stands between her sister Emily and sister-in-law Celestine.

Sister Emily (Friedlander) Peone and Sister-in-law Celestine (Minthorn) Friedlander surround Lucy (Friedlander) Covington in their late teens at the Nespelem July Celebration Grounds.  Emily is dressed in a bugle bead buckskin dress, with a long dentallium shell necklace.  Lucy is dressed in her bead buckskin dress and wearing a Eagle Feather Warbonnet. Lucy also carries a buckskin rifle case with long fringe usually carried in traditional horse parades.  The wife of George Friedlander, Celestine Minthorn Friedlander accompanies her sisters-in-law and is wearing a buckskin dress and carrying a bead bag.  Celestine was 4'10".  She had 10 children and was happily married for 50 plus years.
