Lucy Covington testifies against termination in front of the 89th Congress as a member of the Business Council for the Colville Confederated Tribes. Her testimony opposes termination on the ground that the asset of reservation should be saved and revered for future generations, ones who have access to higher education and programs, as well as a concern of what will happen to tribal members who live their lives on the reservation and will inevitably be asked to move.
