Robert J. (B.J.) Covington of the Colville tribal business council passed away after an accident on his motorcycle in which he skidded nearly 250 feet after losing control of his vehicle. Covington, 44, was not wearing a helmet and sustained multiple injuries to his head and face and broken bones, the ambulance crew claims they lost him multiple times in transit before he finally passed at Grand Coulee Hospital. Covington died on April 28, 1981.
